The start of the project
The project began with the Porsche GT4 RS being picked up safely and securely in a closed transporter. This careful method of transport is crucial to ensure that the vehicle does not suffer any damage during transport. Upon arrival at its destination, a comprehensive full wrap (PPF) was the focus of the project. The customer had a clear request: the cut edges of the PPF should be virtually invisible. This would ensure seamless and perfect protection for the vehicle.
The challenge of cut edges
The challenge with this project was to design the cut edges of the PPF so that they were virtually invisible. This required careful dismantling of some vehicle parts in order to apply the PPF precisely. The components of the Porsche GT4 RS were traced using a custom-made template. Normally, the cut edges of prefabricated templates end just before the edges or corners, which can leave visible edges. In this case, however, software was used to adjust the templates and extend the cut edges so that they could be "hidden" under the vehicle's moldings, for example. This not only had aesthetic advantages, but also prevented the formation of dirt edges while driving.
Installation of the PPF
The installation of the PPF required the utmost precision and care. Every inch of the vehicle was carefully covered to ensure comprehensive protection against stone chips, scratches, and other external influences. The PPF was not only applied to the visible surfaces of the vehicle, but also to hard-to-reach areas to ensure complete coverage.
Film sealing for long-lasting shine
