The challenge:
Perfect refinement of the original
The first hurdle in this project was to perfectly conceal the cut edges of the modifications. The goal was to completely cover the vehicle's original pearl white paintwork. To achieve this, it was necessary to extensively dismantle the entire vehicle. Even the doors were removed so that the door sills could blend seamlessly into the spectacular Galactic Beam wrap. The result is a seamless appearance in which everything fits together perfectly.
A passion for color selection
The choice of Galactic Beam color was by no means random. The customer, a passionate fan of Lewis Hamilton, deliberately chose this color. This not only gives his Mercedes-AMG GT R a unique touch, but also pays homage to the legendary Formula 1 driver.
The art of camouflage and protection
Another highlight of this project is the hood, which has been wrapped in a high-quality carbon-look self-healing paint protection film (PPF). The difference to real carbon is barely noticeable, which shows how advanced today's films are.
The paint protection was taken to the max. The front of the vehicle (hood, both fenders, both mirror caps, and front bumper) was additionally covered with paint protection film (PPF) to protect it from stone chips. This protection was extended to all carbon parts of the car to preserve their value and aesthetics.
Attention to detail
It's the small details that make this vehicle so special. The rims have been treated with a ceramic coating to preserve their shiny appearance. The brake calipers have also been given a ceramic coating, which not only protects them from dirt but also looks stylish.
The Union Jack flag, a symbol of British motor racing tradition, was proudly displayed on the fenders. The number 44, a reference to Lewis Hamilton's race car, adorns the hood and recalls the owner's passion for racing.
Protection for indoors and outdoors
But it's not just about the exterior appearance. Window sealing ensures better visibility in adverse weather conditions, while leather sealing protects the luxurious interior from dirt and wear.
The Mercedes-AMG GT R, which once shone in simple pearl white, has been transformed into a unique work of art. This project shows how dedication, passion, and attention to detail can turn an already impressive vehicle into a true masterpiece. The Mercedes-AMG GT R is not just a car; it is an expression of style, individuality, and a deep connection to the world of motorsport.
